Our own species has the most to lose from climate change. Natural selection will go on and life as a whole will survive. As long as we accept evolution we can trust in that. But we can't be sure that we'll be one of the few species that makes the cut. That's why I don't understand how people can be against preventing climate change. Forget being altruistic and worrying about the poor man-eating polar bears---isn't our survival something we care about?
